Types of Visit: |
- Guided tours: Tours are offered daily, accompanied y guides specialised in the fortified area (English –Spanish). The tour starts with an audiovisual film (15 min.) about the history of the island and the role of the Fortress of Isabel II on La Mola in Mahon harbour based on music and images.
- Special Tours: Specific types of tour may be arranged for groups (from 25 people upwards). There are special visits which may be arranged by prior booking: Children’s visits, Family tours, Nocturnal visits, Thematic tours…Please ask at the Fortress Reception.
- Audioguides: Visitors have audio guides at their disposition which allow them to follow the route at leisure, commenting on the most significant points of the grounds.
Times of guided tours:
H – 10.30 am. – 12.30 pm. – 17.30 pm.
M – 10.30 am. – 12.30 pm.
L – Sundays and bank holidays 10.30 am. – Work days by prior booking.
The duration of the full guided tour is approximately 2.30 hours.
(H 10.30 am and 17.30 pm. - M 10.30am and 12.30 pm. - L 10.30 am.)
The duration of the guided tour to the fortified area is approximately 1.30 hours.
